We offer individual and group lessons taught by golf teaching professionals who meet our rigorous standards and have demonstrated success as both players and teaching pros. Our pros join us in our dedication to providing women with the best golfing opportunities available in New Jersey.

Meet Our Teaching Golf Professionals:
Barbara Karafky
Barb has held many leadership positions for women's golf organizations including President and Education and League Chairpersons. She has been instrumental in developing league play for women in New Jersey as well as establishing beginner and advanced beginner league clinics. Until recently, Barb was a teacher of physical education for more than 30 years at Bayonne School System and was the Golf Coach of the Bayonne High School Varsity Golf Team. For over 15 years Barb has been an Assistant Golf Pro at Paramus Golf Course. In that position, she was responsible for bringing Junior Golf and the Special Olympics Programs to the Club. Jeff Ward
Jeff gew up locally in Montville, NJ. As Junior and Senior, Jeff achieved the rank of All-State Golfer in his Montville High School. After completing his education at William & Mary, Jeff became the Head Golf Professional at Twin Willows Golf Course and is working through his apprenticeship to become a PGA Professional.

Michael Andrusin
Michael has been a member of the PGA of America since 2001. He's spent the last 20 years working in many different New Jersey golf operations. Since becoming a PGA Member Michael has held positions as: Director of Golf, NCAA Div. II Golf Coach, PGA Teaching Professional, and Assistant Golf Professional.
Mike has involved himself in growing the game of golf in NJ, he volunteers his time and regularly participates in such initiatives as: PGA Free 10 minute lesson month, NJ Golf Foundation Instructional Clinics and WMGA’s Girls on the Tee Program. Mike also has served on NJPGA Public Relations and Growth of the Game Committees.
Currently Mike is entering his fifth season as PGA Teaching Professional with the Morris County Park Commission where he conducts individual and group golf instruction in all phases of the game at four Morris County owned golf facilities. Mike was also just named the Head Golf Coach at Hackettstown High School, were he will lead the Boy’s team this spring.

Joyce Fried
Joyce Fried has been golfing since she was four years old and has competed in over 150 tournaments including the U.S. Public Links Championships, the US Women's Mid Amateur Championships along with the New Jersey State Championship, winning numerous Club Championships.
Since 2001, Joyce has been recognized as a Class A, LPGA Professional and has been teaching others the game that she loves so much. Since 2004, Joyce has called Spook Rock Golf Course home and she will work with WGANJ members for private, semi-private or group lessons.
