More than 25 leagues to chose from, offers our members plenty of opportunities to engage in league play at an educational, social or competitive level.

WGANJ Members can register for 2010 golf league play in our "Members Only" area of the website. You must be an active 2010 WGANJ member to register for a league or the substitute program. Requests will be processed in the order in which they are received and you will be notified that your spot has been reserved. We have posted the schedule early to give each member the opportunity to plan league registrations with friends for an optimal golfing experience. Please indicate your 1st and 2nd choices for league play. You will be placed in your 1st choice if space is available; if not, we will place you in your 2nd choice. You may register for more than one league.

BEGINNER LEAGUE PROGRAM: For individuals who have never played on a golf course or who have limited playing experience. The 14-week season will consist of 7 instructional activities and 7 weeks of league play. See the notes below for a description of the Beginner League Program. NOTE: No league play on Memorial Day or July 4th weekend and July 5.

GENERAL LEAGUE PROGRAM: For golfers with at least one year of experience on a golf course and general knowledge of the USGA rules, as well as the ability to play ready golf and fast play. These leagues will offer a selection of golf games and introduce some team competitions. This golfer usually scores up to 135 on 18 holes. NOTE: No league play on Memorial Day or July 4th weekend and July 5.

Payment of your 2010 membership dues is required prior to registering for a league. Please complete the separate membership registration document and submit it with your payment or register online.

WGANJ offers golf leagues grouped by five different levels of play: Beginner, Advance Beginner, General (scores up to 135 on 18 holes), Intermediate (scores less than 120 on 18 holes) and Advanced (must have an established handicap of 28 or less). Before you register for a league, review the description of the level of play for that league. Playing in a league that is structured to support your level of play will allow for a better golfing experience during the season for you and your fellow golfers.

• Most weekday leagues are 9 holes (see Other Leagues below); begin the week of May 3 and run for 15 weeks, unless otherwise noted. Weekday tee times typically start between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. (Paramus golfers must exercise flexibility regarding the tee times at this course; tee times are every 9 minutes.) Paramus GC now offers a Tuesday and Sunday daytime 18-hole league.
• Leagues may play on national holidays. Golfers will be advised of the schedule at the beginning of the season.
• Rain play and makeup policies vary by course and members will be advised of the policy at the beginning of the season.
• Registration must include full payment for league fees. If the league fees change before the start of the season, you will be notified to bring the additional balance due for your play the first night of your league.
• Annual fees must be paid in full. If you are not able to make a full payment for league fees, please contact Valerie Oakes- Locascio at vol128@msn.com or 201-838-7587 to arrange a payment plan. Payment must be completed by April 15.
• There are no refunds for league fees after April 15. Members have the option to sell their regular season to another member if they are unable to complete the league season or they may use a substitute.
• League play may be pre-empted by a course outing. Ample notice will be provided and a makeup date will be scheduled.
• WGANJ reserves the right to cancel a league before the season begins due to low subscription; however, we will make every effort to place you in another league or you have the option to receive a full refund.
• Credit card payments will be handled via Pay Pal through online registration available on the member’s only section of the website: www.wganj.org/members
