The WGANJ leagues program provides the opportunity for women to play golf throughout the golf season on a regular basis, usually starting in April and/or May, joining other members with similar playing abilities. Members are encouraged to register for one or more league(s).

What does WGANJ offer?

1. A full schedule of league offerings every golf season that meets the needs of all by providing weekday leagues in the early evenings as well as weekend travel leagues
2. Leagues are scheduled at dozens of courses throughout northern and central New Jersey
3. Leagues are structured to support all levels of play including beginner, advanced beginner, general, intermediate, and advanced
4. An average of 15 weeks of play for 12 to 24 golfers for each league
5. Beginner and Advanced Beginner leagues provide a supportive structure in which the golfer can develop her skills. Golfers start the season with clinics taught by teaching professionals. The fees for the league include all components of the program.
6. Weekday 9 hole evening leagues have established tee times between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM
7. Weekend leagues are 18 holes and are traveling leagues that play at courses throughout New Jersey. These leagues either play on Saturday or Sunday at various times. Some are offered once a Month, others are more regular during the season
8. Weekend tee times are usually between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM for 18 holes of golf with a cart and travel distance to each course is up to one hour
9. League Captains are assigned to each league to coordinate the group activities between the course and the golfers
10. The skill level of each league determines whether a selection of golf games or team competitions is offered
11. Optional refreshments after league play offers the opportunity to enjoy comraderie
12. In September there is an end of league season outing and awards ceremony, where we recognize accomplishments, milestones and fun had by our members!
13. You must be a member of WGANJ in order to participate in the leagues program
14. Most importantly, WGANJ provides a supportive and friendly environment to play the game of golf

Want to be a Substitute Player?

Consider registering as a SUBSTITUTE PLAYER in a league if you are not available on a weekly basis or if you are on a league but are looking for more opportunities to golf. If you would like to become a substitute player for any WGANJ league, simply register for the Substitute Player Program. If you join a league, registering as a substitute is FREE. If you do not join a league, WGANJ requires a $25.00 payment to register as a substitute player.

WGANJ is a USGA-registered club that provides its members with a FREE USGA Handicap membership. The use of handicaps is encouraged at all skill levels.
